Harley W. Thomas

Mr. Thomas has concentrated his practice in the areas of banking, finance and commercial real estate. Throughout his career, he has prepared documentation for, and negotiated, coordinated and closed, numerous transactions, including among others: multi-million dollar customized credit facilities for small, mid-sized and major financial institutions relating to, without limitation, land development, construction, account receivable and inventory financing, letter of credit facilities and agented facilities, and including unique and varied pricing arrangements; leasing transactions (e.g., retail and commercial office space and equipment leasing); asset and stock acquisitions; and organizational and ongoing compliance matters for various entities (e.g., corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies). Representative clients include Bank of Oklahoma, N. A., MidFirst Bank, Arvest Bank, and F&M Bank & Trust Company.

Education

University of Tulsa College of Law (J.D., 1979); Vanderbilt University (B.A., 1976). Mr. Thomas received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University in 1976, concentrating on business and economics, and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Tulsa in 1979. During law school, he was a staff member of the Tulsa Law Journal, and published an article involving oil and gas, and worked for the National Energy and Law Policy Institute. He also acted as President of the legal fraternity Delta Theta Phi.

Community Involvement 

Mr. Thomas is actively involved in community affairs, providing volunteer services for entities such as the Boy Scouts of America, the Tulsa Boys' Home, United Way, Arts and Humanities, the American Heart Association and Legal Services of Eastern Oklahoma. He is a member of Leadership Tulsa, an organization providing interaction among leaders in the community, the Tulsa County Bar Association, the Oklahoma Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. He has served as the co-chairman of the Banking Section of the Tulsa County Bar Association.
