Education In 1998, Ms. De Simone graduated with a Health Law Certificate and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Tulsa, where she was a member of the Tulsa Law Journal. Ms. De Simone also earned a Masters Degree in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma where she graduated with a perfect grade point average and First in her Class. In addition to being an Attorney, Ms. De Simone is also a Registered Nurse and a Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist. In 1991, she was awarded a Pediatric Nursing Writer's Award and the textbook to which she contributed chapters was awarded the American Nurses Association's Book of the Year Award. Currently she authors standards of Nursing Practice, and Test questions for a Nursing Certification exam. Awards and Honors In 1998, Ms. De Simone was awarded The Elaine Osborne Jacobson Award for "Women in Health Care Law" from the Roscoe Pound Foundation and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (currently known as American Association for Justice). While in law school Ms. De Simone received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Torts and Introduction to Advocacy and the Corpus Juris Secundum Award in Torts.
